Fantastic hikes! Yes, in this regard the Dolomites are a unique experience. Villabassa’s perfect location makes the Hotel Adler a real great starting point for leisurely hikes. Also beautiful lakes, such as the Lago di Braies, numerous alpine huts, theBalance Path or the enchantingPrato Piazza are worth exploring.
In addition to the guided hikes offered three times a week, we also provide our guests with the opportunity to be accompanied by a hiking guide from our partners Globo Alpin and Lanz Active.

Climbing & Mountaineering in the dolomites

Around the famous Three Peaks there are so many possibilities for mountaineers and climbers - from via ferratas to the high wire adventure park, there is something for every level.
We are always amazed when our guests share their tour experiences and show us their fantastic photos. We are happy to arrange private hiking guides for those interested. In addition to the active hiking experience, our guests also get to appreciate the tranquility and power of nature when they reach the peaks of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Walking & strolling through the village

Stroll through the small idyllic Villabassa village, have an ice cream to go, refresh your legs in a Kneipp bath. Fortunately, there are countless possibilities for leisurely strolls and walks around the Hotel Adler. The “Balance Path”, the craftsmans around the corner, the little village museum down the street or the beautiful Kurpark with a playground. We will gladly give you tips and information. Starting from the most charming church to the most beautiful forest path or from which bench you can best watch the sunrise - just ask!

"Our Second Home"

Hotel Adler and the staff are amazing. We have been here 18 times and they take wonderful care of us. The rooms have been updated and are very nicely appointed. The spa is wonderful. The meals are always special and tasty. The hotel is located in the center piazza and is close to shops, banks, and the train station. The Hotel Adler was a great find for a week in September. Beautiful building, tasteful decor, modern fittings in the comfortable bedroom. Our huge bath was appreciated after a long day’s walking.
