Winter holidays in the Dolomites offer an incredibly wide range of possibilities. Snowshoeing and winter hiking in unique natural surroundings

The snow that is guaranteed by the altitude of Alta Pusteria also ensures optimum conditions for ski touring. A ski tour really recharges the batteries. There are a host of routes in the immediate vicinity of Hotel Adler in Villabassa in the Alta Pusteria valley: Tre Cime round trip, Oberbacherspitze 2,675 m, Croda del Becco 2,810 m, Cristallo 2,812 m, Forcella Col Freddo 2,721 m, Cresta Bianca 2,932 m, Col de Riciogogn 2,654 m, Giavo Grande 2,480 m, Cima Piatta Alta 2,867 m, Cadini round trip and much more besides.

A snowshoe hike to the Strudelkopf, starting from the Plätzwiese in the Prags Valley, rewards with unique panoramic views of the Tre Cime, the Cristallo Group, and the Hohe Gaisl. Another highly recommended tour leads from the Kreuzberg to Nemesalm and Malga Coltrondo. Dolomiti Nordicski, Europe’s largest cross-country skiing area, will make your cross-country skiing dreams come true. In the region of the Tre Cime mountains you can choose just the right trail for you from over 200 km of trails catering for everyone. One absolute highlight is the Prato Piazza route in Braies, where cross-country skiing enthusiasts can enjoy a spectacular start through thick snow in natural surroundings. The Alta Pusteria valley long been a center for cross-country skiing, with the Hotel Adler situated at its heart.

Fun at every turn

You’ll have fun at every turn on one of the two toboggan runs on different mountains, the Baranci and Croda Rossa. The cable cars and lifts will take care of the challenging part, namely transporting the sledge uphill. That means you can fully concentrate on the joy of sledging. Snow machines ensure that the sledging runs are snow covered even when winter is not on our side!

The Dolomites 3 Zinnen region features a vast net of marked winter hiking trails. Common points of departure are the Monte Elmo, Stiergarten, Croda Rossa und Monte Baranci summit stations.
