Arrival

By foot, on two or four wheels?

The Prags Valley is currently open all day and can be reached on foot, by bicycle, by public transport, or by car. During the summer months, a traffic regulation applies to the Prags Valley: During this time, the valley can only be accessed from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. by public transport, on foot, by bicycle, or upon presentation of an online reservation or a valid transit permit.
Parking spaces in the valley can be reserved and paid for online. An online reservation with online payment is required for the shuttle to Lake Prags (Line 442 from Villabassa). Once the shuttle seats are fully booked, access to the shuttle will no longer be possible.

Our recommendation

To the Grünwald hut

This family-friendly hike starts at Lake Braies and lasts about 1 hour. Instead of walking around the lake, at the fork in the road at the southwest corner of Lake Braies, follow the sign for Gründwald hut. The path gently ascends through a picturesque forest path to the alpine pasture. Enjoy the panoramic views and a small snack there!
