Sunday roast in the South Tyrolean inn

The Sunday roast in the "South Tyrolean inns" was once a household name! A culinary tradition that the Südtiroler Gasthaus group revives every year. From January to March, every Sunday is cooked up according to old family tradition. And just like back in the days of Sunday roasts after church, only local and seasonal ingredients find their way into the cooking pots. You can expect local meat, seasonally prepared and enjoyment in an unmistakable inn atmosphere.

The Südtiroler Gasthaus group has 29 restaurants. Behind them are people who have made the art of hospitality their purpose in life. The innkeepers cultivate the traditional inn culture and tradition and proudly pass it on to the next generation.

Look forward to special moments of pleasure every Sunday from 12 January to 16 March 2024 with the Sunday roast at the "Südtiroler Gasthaus".

We want to promote awareness of regional identity and tradition through close cooperation between restaurateurs and producers. For this reason, we have chosen the motto "Relationship stories between landlords and producers" for this year's vegetarian summer weeks, thus focusing on the origin of the products we use.

From Friday 28 June to Sunday 28 July, we welcome you in our inns, and hope you will taste our unique dishes tailored to the theme.

South Tyrolean Inn beer “insriGs“

In keeping with the summer dishes, the innkeepers of the Südtiroler Gasthaus group serve a beer specially brewed for this occasion, the "insriGs" ‐ a strong, full-bodied march from the "Batzen Bräu" in Bolzano brewery.

Throughout the year, we host special culinary weeks in our restaurant.

In February, we dedicate ourselves to the delicious Radicchio Weeks, followed by Asparagus Season in March. During the summer months, we invite you to try our exquisite mushroom and chanterelle dishes. In September, our menu is entirely focused on the "Harvest Festival," featuring exquisite potato and turnip dishes. In December, we celebrate the beginning of the pumpkin and artichoke season.

During the meeting, the new vintages of Montevertine wines will be presented: Pian del Ciampolo 2022, Montevertine 2021, and Le Pergole Torte 2021. The potato festival takes, from the 04th to the 30th September 2021 is an annual tradition, celebrating culinary specialities made of potatoes. This ingredient is strongly rooted in the local cuisine of Val Pusteria valley. The area offers ideal climatic conditions for growing this kind of vegetables, the potato has a long and important history in the South Tyrolean cuisine.
